Carrara Marble
Originating from the Carrara region of Tuscany, is one of the most recognized and widely used Italian marbles.
Known for its subtle grey-white background and delicate veining, Carrara marble exudes sophistication.
Statuario Marble
- Bright white background with bold, grey veining that can be thick and
dramatic. - Considered one of the most luxurious types of marble, and therefore
tends to be more expensive than Carrara marble. - Used for applications such as countertops, flooring, and wall cladding.
Carrara Marble
- Carrara marble typically ranges from white to greyish-white, with subtle
variations in tone. Some varieties may have a slightly blue or yellow
tint. - It’s used in interior applications such as countertops, flooring, wall
cladding, backsplashes, and decorative accents. - Many famous sculptures, including Michelangelo’s David and Pieta,
were crafted from Carrara marble.
Gioia Marble
- Gioia marble features a creamy white background with soft, feathery
grey veins. - It’s prized for its warm and inviting appearance, making it popular for
residential applications. - Used in various interior applications such as countertops, flooring,
bathrooms, and kitchens.
Arabescato Marble
- Arabescato marble features a white background with bold and
contrasting veining, which can be grey or gold in colour. - It is characterised by intricate and ornate patterns, making it a popular
choice for luxury interior design. - Arabescato marble is used in various applications including
countertops, flooring, wall cladding, and decorative accents.
Calacatta Marble
- Calacatta marble is characterised by a white background with thick,
prominent veining in shades of grey and gold. - It is highly prized for its luxurious appearance and is often considered
more upscale than Carrara marble. - Used in various high-end applications including countertops, flooring,
wall cladding, and decorative accents.
